In spite of notching just 10 wins, Jacob deGrom of the Mets wins the 2018 National League Cy Young Award, receiving 29 of 30 first-place votes. His major-league leading ERA of 1.70 convinced voters to set aside his win/loss record, which was largely influenced by terrible run support. In the American League, Blake Snell of the Rays is the winner after going 21-5 with an ERA of 1.89.
