On ,June 16 1935 — 6/16/1935: Lou Gehrig and Frank Crosetti each lost a homer because of rain. As part of a seven-run fourth inning in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader, Crosetti hit his shot off Ted Lyons with one on. Gehrig’s drive came as the first batter to face Leslie Tietje, also with one man on base.
