On ,June 22 1928 â 6/22/1928: In the top of the seventh inning at Wrigley Field, the Cardinals scored two runs on a homer by Jim Bottomley to take a 6-1 lead over the Cubs on Ladies Day. However, rain stopped the game during the top half of that frame and the score reverted back to the last complete inning, so Bottomley lost his sixteenth home run of the season.
