On October 3, 1919.00 Cuban native Adolfo Luque becomes the first player from Latin America to appear in a World Series. In Game 3 of the Fall Classic, ā€˜the Pride Of Havanaā€™ pitches a scoreless eighth inning for the Reds in a 3-0 loss to the White Sox at Comiskey Park.
