Dutch McCall takes the loss and serves up Hank Sauer’s 30th homer‚ tying a Reds’ club record. The Cubs win the 2nd game in eight innings‚ 6 – 2‚ as Bob Rush defeats Herm Wehmeier. Roy Smalley hits a 3-run home run.
