On August 2, 2007 â After giving up eight runs in the top of the second inning, the Yankees storm back in the bottom of the frame to tie the score with eight tallies of their own in an eventual 13-9 loss to the White Sox in New York. It is only the second time in major league history that eight or more runs are scored in the same inning by each team.
