On August 26, 1962 — After the Indians beat the Red Sox, 10 – 5, in game 1, Cleveland’s Dick Donovan holds the Red Sox homerless in the nitecap to win, 4 – 0. It is Donovan’s 100th major league win. The Sox had hit homers in 13 straight games.
