Rookie 1B Cody Bellinger hits a pair of homers in the Dodgers’ 10 – 6 win over the Mets. In doing so, he overtakes both Wally Berger (in 1930) and Gary Sanchez (in 2016), who had hit 20 homers in their first 51 major league games, as he now has 21 long balls. That total leads the National League even though Bellinger spent the first three weeks of the season in the minors.
