This Day In Baseball is about all the moments that have made the history of the game. Batting Streaks, Pitching feats, trades, hires, fires, home runs, walk off’s and so much more. We are about the history of the game all the way from 1871 to the present day. We are as excited about Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Tris Speaker as we are Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, and Soto.

We are looking for an Ambassador for each of the 30 teams.

What we are looking for is the person who answers all the baseball questions at trivia before the final word comes out of the host’s mouth.

You can still remember details about games from years past, both good and bad.

You have countless pieces of memorabilia, and some really only mean something to you.

You understand stats and the value of them, but you also get WAR is not the be all end all. This Day in Baseball is not Baseball-Reference, and it never will be Baseball-Reference. We are not interested in the velocity of the ball as it left a bat, the launch angle, or the % of times a lefthanded batter hits to leftfield. We are more interested in the time Ted Williams hit an inside the Park Homerun against the shift to clinch the Pennant.

You love movies like Field of Dreams, For The Love of The Game, or 42.

You are as interested in your team’s history 140 years ago, 100 years ago, 50 years ago, 25 years ago, maybe a little more than 2020.

Is this a paid position – Yes, we pay a commission for all sales generated by Ambassadors for our Page Sponsorship and Membership program. If you are unfamiliar with the program, please go to Sponsor A Page, and you will see what a fan gets once they decide to adopt a page. It is truly a unique offering for the fan, and it will give them a lifetime keepsake.

Am I an employee – No. You will be a 1099 Team Ambassador.

How much work is involved – The minimum requirement is 1 social media post per day linking to This Day In Baseball about your team.

I do not have a social media following. To be successful, you need to have an audience. 

Podcast, video channel, solid following, email list, or some fan base, this probably is not for you. That said, please feel free to apply to be an affiliate instead.

Can I contribute: Yes, it is highly recommended that you help enhance the facts for your team. This will entice the users to want to Sponsor A Page or join the membership.

This Day In Baseball is very much in the beginning developmental stages of the business, and the website is not perfect. Part of growing this site into what we feel will be one of the most unique experiences a fan can have is the ambassador and fan by in. The player pages need to be developed. Content needs to be curated and developed.
