Bob Feller makes his first major league start

On August 23, 1936, At League Park in Cleveland Seventeen-year-old Bob Feller makes his first major league start and strikes out the first eight St. Louis Browns batters he faces. The Cleveland Indians’ rookie finishes the game with 15 strikeouts and a complete-game victory 4-1 victory. His 15 strikeouts are one shy of the AL record.
