On April 22, 1978, California Angels’ Second baseman Bobby Grich is surrounded by Minnesota Twins as he tries to get at pitcher Roger Erickson after Erickson threw a pitch Grich thought was aimed at him in the fourth inning Saturday at Bloomington. The fuss emptied both benches as the other players got into a series of fights. At right, Angels’ Ron Jackson grabs an unidentified Twin and wrestles him to the ground while the others watch. When order finally was restored, Grich was ejected. The Angels went on to defeat the Twins, 5-3.
