Braves to be better in 1958

January 19, 1958- In a Milwaukee Sentinel article, Fred Haney said the Braves would be even stronger in 1958. “I sure think we’ll win the pennant, if we can get by without injuries. I think we’ve got a better ball club this season. We’ve got some young fellows and a year more experience. Our pitching depth is better than any other club.”

The Braves will return to the Series but lose in 7 games to the New York Yankees after beating them in 7 in 1957.
