The Giants break a 1 – 1 tie on Dick Bartell’s homer in the 10th off Dizzy Dean to win, 2 – 1.
The 24-year-old Cardinals slugger, called Ducky by his teammates, had seven hits in his last seven times at-bat in the doubleheader sweep of the Boston Bees at Sportsman’s Park before yesterday’s off-day.
