On July 17, 1918 At Wrigley Field Chicago’s Lefty Tyler goes 21 innings against Milt Watson to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 2 – 1. He faced 77 batters, yielding 13 hits and walking one while fanning eight. His only run was unearned.  He was pinch hit for in the bottom of the 21st with two on and no outs, Bill McCabe delivered a bunt single to load the bases and Max Flack facing the 7pm curfue delivers his 5th hit of the day, the 19th overall for the Cubs closing out the 21 inning affair.
