Oct 6, 1906 ā€“ Chick Stahlā€š Boston Americans player-managerā€š closes out the season and his career last at-bat with an 8th-inning two-run homer off New York Highlanders Tom Hughes. But Long Tom emerges with a 5-4 win.

One scribe wrote that Stahl was ā€œthe only man on the team who played his real game this seasonā€, after Bostonā€™s dismal 49 win season closes
