On July 20, 1978 — 1978 – Chris Speier hits for the cycle and drives in six runs to lead Montreal to a 7 – 3 win over Atlanta. Speier had been 1-18 and a more extended 4 – 31 over the past 2 weeks.  Speier, Tripled, Singled and homered off starter Jamie Easterly. He doubled in the bottom of the 8th off Mickey Mahler to complete the Cycle. Speier said he didn’t realize it until the 9th when he was in the field.
