Colorado Rockies advance to their first World Series

On October 15, 2007, the Colorado Rockies advance to their first World Series. The Rockies sweep the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 6-4 victory in Game Four of the National League Championship Series. The victory is the red-hot Rockies 20th in their previous 21 games. The Rockies become the first team to sweep the first two rounds of the three-round playoff format.
