On September 11, 1955 — Del Crandall, after working the count full with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, hits a grand slam, giving the Braves a dramatic 5-4 walk-off victory over Philadelphia. Milwaukee had entered the final frame at County Stadium behind 4-0 before the backstop abruptly ended the game with his ‘ultimate grand slam’.
