Edd Roush drives home the winner in the 9th inning with two out by making his 5th hit of the day. Heinie Groh‚ 2nd in the NL to Wheat in hitting at .327 through August 8‚ is 3-for-3. Wheat will win the title‚ but Roush (.301 through August 8) will finish 2nd with a .333 average‚ .002 behind Zack.
