On August 15, 1979, Orioles’ slugger Eddie Murray stole home in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Baltimore a 2-1 win over Chicago. Murray’s surprise move came with two out against the Sox’ battery of Guy Hoffman and Milt May. The theft gives Mike Flanagan the win.
