Born on- January 27, 1920 Eddie Shokes

He played one game for the Reds in 1941, On June 9th. He then played in the Reds farm system in 1942.

He has no record of playing professional baseball from 1943 – 1945, so even though I cannot find that he served in the military, it appears that he did.
He returned to baseball in 1946 and played 31 games as a First Baseman for the Reds,

He returned to the Reds minor league system, playing full time with the Reds AAA Syracuse Chiefs from 1947 – 1950.

He never had another opportunity to play at the Major League level.

In his 32 games with the Reds he must have rarely swung at a pitch. He had 105 plate appearances with only 10 hits, but he had 18 walks.
