On September 6, 1905 – Frank Smith of the Chicago White Sox pitches a no-hitter against the Detroit Tigers at Bennett Park in Detroit, Michigan, 15 – 0, in the biggest margin of victory for a no-hitter in American League history. The White Sox right hander will toss another no-hitter on September 20, 1908, beating the A’s, 1-0.
