Freddy Parent last living member from 1903 World Series passes away

On November 2, 1972 — Freddy Parent, who hit the first grand slam in Boston Red Sox history, dies at the age of 96. The former shortstop had been the last surviving participant from the first-ever World Series, played in 1903 between Boston and Pittsburgh.
