Gary Nolan May 27, 1948

He spent almost his entire career with the Cincinnati Reds and was a key pitcher on the Big Red Machine teams of the 1970s. His best season was in 1972 when he had a 15-5 record & 1.99 ERA (leading the league in winning pct.), making his only All-Star team and finishing 5th in the NL Cy Young Award voting. Nolan won 15 games in both years for the 1975-76 World Series champion Reds. He is a member of the Reds Hall of Fame.

 

In his 10-year career (1967-1973, 1975-1977), Gary had 110 wins, 1,039 strikeouts, & 3.08 ERA.
