Hank Aaron, Joe Adcock and Joe Torre of the Braves startle the Reds with a triple steal

On July 18, 1961 — At Crosley Field, in the 6th inning the Milwaukee Braves steal Five bases with unlikely trio, Hank Aaron who singled and advanced to second when Joe Adcock reached on an error is part of a double steal with Adcock swiping second and third.  Joe Torre walks to load the bases with two outs and then the 4th, 5th and 7th hitters in the lineup pull off a triple steal startling the Reds. For Aaron, it is his first steal of home. They all came off the battery of Jim Maloney and Johnny Edwards.

For Adcock it was his first two steals of the season, they were the 14th and 15th of the season for Aaron and 3rd for Torre.

Eddie Mathews hit the only homerun in the 12-8 Braves win.
