Harmon Killbrew debuts

rookie third baseman Harmon Killebrew

August 24, 1954 a young 18 year old by the name of Harmon Killebrew is penciled in to start and play for the first time in front of his home fans at Griffith stadium. The rookie would play the entire game at second base, a position he only played 11 times during his career. In 4 plate appearances that day he would finish with a walk and two strikeouts…..big things were to come for the bonus baby however.
