On November 12, 1969 Minnesota Twins 3B/1B Harmon Killebrew  is voted 1969 AL Most Valuable Player, beating runner-up Boog Powell (who will win the Award in 1970), 294-227 points. In ’69, The Killer had a .276 BA, .584 Slg., 1.011 OPS, and led the league in HR (49), RBI (140), BB (145), & OBP (.427).
