Tony Fernandez becomes the tenth Yankee to hit for the cycle

On September 3, 1995 — At Yankee Stadium, Tony Fernandez becomes the tenth Yankee to hit for the cycle when he goes 4-for 5 against Oakland. The shortstop will complete the unique feat with a double that will lead to the tying run being scored in the bottom of the ninth inning, but the Bombers will suffer a 10-9 loss when Rickey Henderson goes deep in the top of the tenth frame.

Fernandez scores three runs and has three ribbies for New York.
