— It’s Willie Mays Night in Flushing as the Mets honor the fan favorite in an emotional ceremony at Shea Stadium after their 2-1 victory over Montreal. The ‘Say Hey Kid’ tells the crowd, “Just to hear you cheer like this for me and not be able to do anything about it makes me a very sad man. This is my farewell.”
