Nicknamed “Bone,” he played most of his career with the Seattle Mariners. His best season was in 1996 when he had 44 HR & 138 RBI, winning a Gold Glove Award and making his only All-Star team. Buhner is a member of the Mariners Hall of Fame.

In his 15-year career (1987-2001), Jay had 1,273 hits, 310 HR, 965 RBI, .254 BA, .359 OBP, .494 Slg., & .852 OPS.
