On September 14, 2009 — Justin Morneau, the 2006 American League MVP, will miss the remainder of the season because of a stress fracture in his back. Morneau hurt himself sliding into first base in the Twins’game on September 11th, but kept on playing. He ends the year with an even 30 homers and 100 RBI.
