Kansas City A’s re-acquire minor league outfielder Joe Rudi from the Cleveland Indians

On December 1, 1965, the Kansas City A’s re-acquire minor league outfielder Joe Rudi from the Cleveland Indians.

The Cleveland Indians had selected Joe Rudi as a first-year waiver pick in May, the A’s get the outfielder back from Cleveland when the team trades Jim Landis and Jim Rittwage to the Indians for the return of their 19-year-old highly-touted prospects, along with backup catcher Phil Roof. The future Gold Glove left fielder will play a key role for the world championship teams during the early ’70s in Oakland.
