On August 5, 1923 — Kansas City Monarchs Hall of Fame pitchers José Méndez and Bullet Rogan combine for a no-hitter against the Milwaukee Bears, winning 7-0 at Kansas City’s newly-opened Muehlebach Field. Méndez pitches five perfect innings before being relieved by Rogan. Rogan walks the second man he faces, the only baserunner allowed in the game.
