On November 4, 2010 — Less than a week after being named the World Series MVP, Edgar Renteria is let go by the San Francisco Giants, who buy out his option for next season. Bothered by frequent injuries over recent years, Renteria is contemplating retirement but will come back to play for the Cincinnati Reds in 2011.
