On September 16, 1980 — Mike Norris, en route to a 22-9 record with the second-place A’s, gets his 20th victory of the season when Oakland beats Texas at Arlington Stadium, 4-2. The 25 year-old right-hander will compile a 58-59 career mark during his ten years in the major leagues with Oakland.
