On February 16 1980 — Milwaukee Brewers coach Harvey Kuenn has his right leg amputated below the knee after four operations to remove a blood clot. He will return to coaching within 6 months and then manage the 1982 Brewers to the World Series. They will lose the series in 7 games to St Louis.

2018 – The Cubs take over first place in the NL Central with a 7 – 2 win over the Brewers in 10 innings. They tie the game, 2 – 2, in the 8th thanks to a clutch single by Jason Heywardagainst usually untouchable reliever Josh Hader, then Anthony Rizzo leads off the top of the 10th with a long homer off Matt Albers. The Cubs then add four more runs in the frame to nail down the win.

2004 – After guiding the Dodgers to their first division title since 1995, the club signs manager Jim Tracy to a two-year extension. Tracy, who has had four consecutive winning seasons with the Dodgers, will resign before the 2006 season to manage the Pittsburgh Pirates.
