John Paciorek goes 3-for-3, driving in three runs and scoring four times in his big league debut and only game in his career

On September 29, 1963 –On the final day of the season, John Paciorek, brother of Tom and Jim, goes 3-for-3, driving in three runs and scoring four times in his big league debut as Houston routs the Mets at Colt Stadium, 13-4. ending his big league career with a perfect 1.000 batting average. It’s also the last appearance for Jim Umbricht who gets the victory.

Due to severe back problems, the 18 year-old Colt .45’s right fielder, who also makes two outstanding defensive catches, will never again play in a big league game.
