On February 7 1900 — Pitcher Jack Taylor, three-times a 20-game winner and 20-game loser, dies of Bright’s disease in Staten Island, New York, at 26 years of age.

In 1898 Taylor lost 29 games, he made 47 starts completing 42 of them, he pitched 397 innings and faced 1,713 batters.
