His best season was in 1990 when he had a 20-6 record, 223 strikeouts, 2.92 ERA, and a league-leading 12 CG, making his only All-Star team and finishing runner-up (to Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Doug Drabek) for the NL Cy Young Award. Martinez also threw a no-hitter in 1995 and was a member of the 1988 World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
 
In his 14-year career (1988-2001), Ramon had 135 wins, 1,427 strikeouts, 20 shutouts, & 3.67 ERA.
