But 27 strikeouts are recorded on the night, including four in the 9th inning, as a result of Dunlop’s miscue; one batter is retired on a grounder in the 2nd inning. Necciai will earn a promotion to the Pittsburgh Pirates later in the season, but will struggle to a 1-6 record and a 7.08 ERA.
