On May 29, 2010 — At Sun Life Stadium, Roy Halladay pitches the 20th perfect game in Major League history, striking out 11 in the process, as the Phillies defeat the Florida Marlins, 1 – 0. Following Dallas Braden’s perfect game earlier in the month, it is the first time that two perfect games are pitched in the same season in 130 years. Lee Richmond and John Montgomery Ward had both pitched perfect games five days apart in 1880. The former American League Cy Young Award winner, obtained from Toronto in the off-season, also joins Jim Bunning as the only other hurler in franchise history to accomplish the feat.
