1994 – Ken Caminiti slugs an inside-the-park homer while Craig Biggio and James Mouton belt the traditional kind as the Astros trap the Cubs, 12-6. Caminiti and Biggio are named to the N.L. All-Star team along with Jeff Bagwell, Doug Drabek and John Hudek(none as starters) to total a club-record five All-Stars in one season.

The Orioles and Angels combine to hit a major league record-tying 11 home runs in a contest won by Baltimore, 14 – 7. The Orioles smash six of the round-trippers and the Angels hit 5. It is the 8th 11-home run game in history. Surprisingly, none of the homers goes as far as 400 feet.
In Montreal’s 7 – 3 victory over the Giants, San Francisco OF Darren Lewis commits an error, allowing Cliff Floyd’s base hit to skip under his glove. It is Lewis’ first error in 392 major league games (938 chances), and his first miscue since May 10, 1991, at Triple-A Phoenix.
The Dodgers defeat the Giants, 6 – 2, as San Francisco 3B Matt Williams homers off Ramon Martinez in the 4th inning. It is Williams’ 29th home run of the season, breaking Willie Stargell’s National League mark for homers before July.
