He referred to a 400-foot drive off the bat of Roberto Clemente which sent Davis back to the wall.” Clemente takes another tack with Davis his next time up, with similar results: “Davis robbed Clemente again in the 9th with a sparkling catch. This time he took the ball off his shoetops.”
