2018 – A two-run double by Alex Bregman in the bottom of the ninth stuns the Rays, 5-4, to match Houston’s club record for wins at twelve. The Astros would lose the next night, 2-1, to halt the streak. Within the surge, Houston swept a ten-game road trip for the first time and Evan Gattis enjoyed back-to-back five-RBI games in Oakland to set a two-day club record.
2015 – Evan Gattis homers twice and drives in four to defeat Seattle, 8-7. The win extends Houston’s win streak to ten games and gives them the best record in franchise history (18-7) to begin a season. They lead the American League West by seven games.
Houston acquires slugger Evan Gattis, along with reliever James Hoyt, from Atlanta for pitcher Mike Foltynewicz and two minor leaguers. Gattis would go on to lead the Astros in home runs (27) and RBIs (88) that season.
