The gestures might have been meant for the Braves, who are shut out, 8 – 0. Greg Maddux goes seven innings for the win over John Smoltz, giving up three runs. 7/5/1992: In the bottom of the sixth inning at the Metrodome against the Orioles, Chili Davis hit a deep fly to right off of Rick Sutcliffe that was headed deep into the stands when it hit a speaker. The ball bounced back toward short right field where second baseman Mark McLemore made the catch for an out. The Orioles were ahead 1-0 at the time, but the Twins rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 2-1 victory.
