Bill Butler‚ who wanted to protect the field with a tarpaulin‚ walks on the field‚ but the umpires want to stop him and the dispute turns heated and he is ejected. He is a three-time Groundskeeper of the Year in the minors and is working his 13th season in the business. He says he told umpires Brandon Cooney and Steve Cummings it was time to cover the field.
