New York Yankees acquire journeyman outfielder Claudell Washington

On June 30, 1986, the New York Yankees acquire journeyman outfielder Claudell Washington and infielder Paul Zuvella from the Atlanta Braves for outfielder-first baseman Ken Griffey. The Yankees become Washington’s sixth team-after the Braves, New York Mets, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, and Oakland A’s.
