On June 13 2014, The Northwest League’s Spokane Indians, the short-season single-A affiliate of the Rangers, introduce a new home alternate uniform which features the name “S’q’n’i” in lettering across the front of the jersey, along with a character not in the English language. The word, which translates to Spokane in the Salish’s native language, will be in addition to a logo created in 2006 that uses local native imagery.
