On September 13, 1986 — The Rangers, in a 14-1 trouncing of Minnesota at the Metrodome, hit a team record seven home runs, including blasts from Darrell Porter (2), Ruben Sierra (2), Steve Buechele, Pete O’Brien, and Pete Incaviglia. Minnesota’s starter Bert Blyleven is tagged for five of the round-trippers, which raises his gopher ball total to 44 this season, establishing a new American League record.
