On July 31, 2002 — The Rangers, in a 17-6 victory over the Yankees, hit six doubles in the second inning, all off Mike Mussina. New York’s starting pitcher joins Hall of Famer Lefty Grove (1934 Red Sox) as only the second pitcher in major league history to allow that many two-baggers in one frame.
